Weekly Maintenance for WFP/Water Fed Poles

Maintaining your new window cleaning pole on a regular basis will prolong it’s life and save you valuable down time.
Each user and each round is unique but following this guide weekly and taking care of your equipment while in use and in transport will give you the best performance.

Carefully separate all sections and stand them up against a wall. (When laid on the ground they can easily be stood on or tripped over and damaged) Be mindful of the Univalve if you have one fitted!

With a length of string/rope and a thin cloth create a ‘pull through’. Starting at the clamp side carefully pull the cloth through to clean any grit away.

Wipe the outside of each section to clean the dirt off. Spray each section with PTFE spray and gently wipe any excess with a clean cloth.

Check the fitment of each clamp, it should not wobble on the pole section. Ensure the clamp is fitted correctly, the top of the pole should be level with the lower clamp.

If the clamp is loose tighten with an allen key. Failure to do this will cause the carbon fibre to wear.

• Taking care, push all sections back together and ensure they move freely.

• Ensure each top clamp holds the section in place.

• Check the base cap for wear. A worn base cap will lead to a damaged pole hose.

• Wipe the pole hose and re-fit to main sections.

• Check brush for any debris and rinse in luke warm water.

This is only a guide to maintaining your water fed pole, please take care of it at all times.
